What exactly is an electric car?

One calls electric car basically all cars which are driven with electric energy.
Especially during the last few years these cars have won again very much in meaning, because, in the meantime, they are of the technical signs and also what concerns the consumption and the protection of the environment a real alternative to normal cars which drive engine with a petrol.
